Important Updates Below

The inaugural Osler 42 is an individual or team relay fundraising event to benefit the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation

With your help, we plan to raise $50,000 in support of the Foundation.
Unfortunately, due to lower registration than expected, we will not be able to run the full edition of the Osler 42. With that being said, we are still excited to bring together the community for a day of touring, pushing personal limits, and most of all fun!

Please see below for important updates and if you have any questions, please email [email protected].

The Event

The event was inspired by the idea of doing repeated laps of a hill until you have climbed the equivalent height of Mount Everest (29,032 feet or 8,500 meters). The catch is that these laps must be done in one continuous effort without mechanical aid such as a chairlift.
In understanding that this is not an attainable goal for everyone, we wanted to create an opportunity for all to participate and achieve their own version of this feat. Enter The Osler 42

The Osler 42 will see individuals or teams attempt to tackle as many laps as they can over an 7-hour period. This was done to allow everyone to be part of this amazing event focused on building community and helping people realize they are capable of more than they think, all while supporting a fantastic cause. Whether someone wants to tackle the day solo or is simply looking to push themselves to complete a couple of laps with a group of friends, we hope to create an opportunity for everyone.

The Cause

This event is all about charity and as a participation requirement participants will be raising funds for The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation. As outdoor enthusiasts who live and play in a small community, we tend to utilize our local hospital more often than most. Therefore, when deciding on a cause for The Osler 42, we thought it would be most appropriate to give back to the hospital that has and continues to provide exceptional care to members of our community.

At the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, over 90% of all medical equipment & technology is funded through community support. By participating in The Osler 42, you are joining a caring and generous community that ensures that the healthcare teams at CHMH can continue to deliver fast, accurate diagnosis and exceptional care. In 2024, the Collingwood Hospital will be fundraising for critical equipment needs that will directly impact mammography, internal medicine, and more.
