Member/Guest Services Assistant Manager

To our new Member & Guest Services Assistant Manager at Osler Bluff Ski Club, Collingwood, Ontario. Own the Osler Experience. You will play the lead role to ensure our members and guests are delighted each and every time they visit the club.

Over the last few years, our membership has been rapidly evolving as it relates to how they are utilizing and enjoying our club. Skiing is still the main attraction at Osler for many, but we have been pleased to see growth in other recreational and social areas in both summer & winter months. As a result, we are committed to greatly enhancing the Service Experience in all areas.

Later this year, we are excited to be holding the grand opening of our newly designed and expanded main clubhouse. In order to ensure we start this next chapter of our proud history off the right way, we are focusing on all aspects of “The Osler Experience” with this new role and vision of service excellence at each and every touch point with our members and guests.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Members & Guests alike are set up for success from the moment they arrive on Osler Club Property. Your organizational & leadership skills combined with your high level of attention to detail will be showcased as you help to architect and manage this enhanced service experience.

You’ll own the Service Excellence aspects of the following areas of Club Service Operations:

  • Parking, Drop off areas, Locker/Day Storage,

  • Child Care Service

  • Trail and Property Maps and General Information

  • Guest Ticket Sales, Member Badge, Club Cards, and other related inquiries

  • Social & General Club Events Information

  • Food & Beverage Service Experience (in partnership with 3rd party F&B partner)

  • Recruitment, Training, Performance Assessment, Managing, Inspiring our guest services staff

  • Solicitation of member feedback, concerns, and recommendations for continuous improvement

Snapshot of your days and hours:

  • Sept to mid Dec: Mon-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

  • mid-Dec to mid April: Wed, Thurs, Friday Sat, Sun 7:30am to 4:00pm

  • mid April to end of May: Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:00pm

  • June - August:  Mon-Thurs 8:00am to 4:00pm

  • required to work all holidays between Dec and April except Christmas Day

What you need to bring to succeed:

  • You are the very definition of a people person. Positive, Friendly, Professional, and Mindful

  • You’ve got relevant service experience background & related skills & competencies (3+ yrs)

  • People management & inspiration of direct reports

  • You’ve got technical experience with business systems, software, & marketing communications

  • JONAS is the system we use so knowledge of this platform is a major plus

Equipment Mechanic

Full time year round position (40+ hr/wk) now available for a qualified equipment mechanic to work in “Operations” alongside our team of equipment/lift mechanics to maintain & repair ski industry related equipment.

Qualifications: Mechanics licence and/or relevant ski industry experience in maintaining heavy equipment; dozers, excavators, tractors, dump trucks, snow groomers as well as snowmobiles, RTV’s, pickup trucks & small engines. Must have valid driver’s licence (DZ an asset) with reliable transportation.
Skills: Adhere to O.E.M. scheduled maintenance. Detect & diagnose problems in a timely fashion. Repair equipment, adjust or replace defective parts, clean, lubricate & perform other maintenance work. Order parts & maintain inventory, keep detailed maintenance logs & documentation.

Skills Specialization: Candidates should have experience/competency with fuel, hydraulic, electrical, hydrostatic, cooling, exhaust & software systems. Experience in operating heavy equipment an asset.

Compensation/Benefits: Competitive hourly wage, based upon qualifications. Health benefits, contribution pension plan. May to Thanksgiving work schedule Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm. After Thanksgiving to start of ski season Monday to Friday 7:30 to 4:00. Approx mid December to mid April Wednesday to Sunday 7am to 4pm. Applicants will be required to work weekends & holidays during the ski season. Training & tools provided.
